Bubble Waffle Recipe
Ingredients:
- Mochi Foods Bubble Waffle Mix: 300 g (Makes approximately 5-6 bubble waffles depending on the size of your bubble waffle maker)
- Sugar: 140 g
- Water: 300 g
- Eggs: 50 g
- Vegetable oil: 50 g
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Mochi Foods Bubble Waffle Mix and sugar. Add the water, eggs, and vegetable oil to the dry mix, then use a paddle attachment to mix on low speed for 1 minute, scraping the sides of the bowl and paddle as needed. Increase the speed to medium and continue mixing until well combined.

For Bubble Waffles:
Preheat your bubble waffle maker to 338°F to 356°F (170°C to 180°C), then pour the batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook for 3 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with your favorite toppings like fresh fruits, whipped cream, or syrup—if adding ice cream, let the waffle cool first!
-
For Taiyaki:
Heat up the taiyaki iron and lightly grease the molds. Pour the batter into the mold, filling it about 80% full. Add any desired fillings (such as custard, red bean, or chocolate), then pour additional batter on top to cover the filling completely. Cook for about 2–3 minutes on each side, or until the taiyaki is golden brown and cooked through.
Pro Tips:
- Adjust Batter Consistency: If the batter is too thick, add a small amount of water (10-20 g) to thin it out for smoother pouring.
- Crispier Waffles: For extra crispiness, let the batter rest for 10 minutes before pouring it into the waffle maker.
- Even Cooking: Flip the waffle maker (if possible) halfway through cooking to ensure even heat distribution and consistent texture.
- Toppings Inspiration: Try drizzling with chocolate or caramel, adding a scoop of ice cream, or dusting with powdered sugar for a creative presentation.
- Storage: Unused batter can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir well before using.
