You think you know it from the ice cream aisle, but mochi is actually a centuries-old Asian treat made from steamed sweet rice — loved for the addictive texture it brings to food. We use it to turn everyday pancakes, waffles, and baked treats into something memorable, craveable, and different.
How our family became

Mochi Foods has been the leading distributor of mochi-based products in the US since we introduced the first-ever mochi donut to the market in 2016. We are a 100% family-owned business, and 100% committed to the high standards of our Taiwanese founder Pei (also known as "mom"). In the spirit of Ohana, our mochi is simple to use, consistent to make, and meant to be shared.
