Ingredients
- 800 g Mochi Bread Mix
- 200 g High Protein Flour
- 150 g Whole Egg
- 200 g Shortening
- 400 g Water
- Snow sugar (for coating, optional)
Method
- Add Mochi Bread Mix, high protein flour, whole egg, shortening, and water into a mixing bowl.
- Using a paddle attachment, mix on low speed for 2 minutes. Increase to medium speed and continue mixing for 5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and well combined.
- Divide the dough and roll to about 1 cm thickness. Cut into 3 × 3 cm squares.
- Place pieces on a baking tray and freeze until firm.
- Heat frying oil to 180°C. Remove dough pieces from freezer and deep fry for about 4 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove and drain excess oil. Coat with snow sugar if desired. Serve warm.
