Beignets

Ingredients:
800 g Mochi Foods Mochi Bread mix
200 g high protein flour
150 g egg
200 g shortening
400 g water
Instructions:
1. Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Use the paddle blend at slow speed for 2 minutes, then medium speed for 5 minutes until the dough is well mixed.
2. Divide the dough and shape into 1cm thick, 3x3cm squares. Place on a baking tray and keep the tray in the freezer.
3. Preheat the oil for deep frying to 180°C.
4. Remove the dough from the freezer and deep fry for 4 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Coat the fried beignets with powdered sugar, and serve.
